Autumn truly is my favourite season, especially when the days are sunny, dry and just slightly crisp. I love getting cozy, layering up clothes & cooking warming autumnal dishes. To me autumn is the season of hot spiced cider, scarfs, boots and red leaves.
One: Cozy Knits
Now is the perfect time to stock up on gorgeous knits and layer them for maximum coziness. Some of my favourite pieces come form the gorgeous H&M Studio AW 15 line and the Oasis & Warehouse AW15 collections.
Two: Orchard Glow aka Spiced Apple Juice
One of my favourite things to do in Autumn is to hit the Dublin food markets, head to the Llewellyn’s Orchard stand and get a cup of their Orchard Glow which is a hot spiced cloudy apple juice with a shot of apple brandy. It’s practically autumn in a cup!
However if you can’t make it to one of the Dublin food markets it is really easy to recreate this at home! Heat some cloudy apple juice with a stick of cinnamon, some cloves, cardamom pods and let them infuse for a while. To make it extra warming add a dash of calvados (apple brandy) or whiskey.
Three: Fire
My fire place is one of my favourite places in my house. There is nothing as cozy and comforting as a crackling fire when the nights get chilly. I also love burning scented candles around that time of year. Two of my all time favourites are the This Works Black Spice & Cedar candle and the Pomegranate Noir one from Jo Malone (I need to buy another one of these!)
